We have to act now. At their Extra Cabinet meeting on September 10th, OCC formally approved the congestion charge scheme. The scheme is set to be introduced by 10 November, likely decimating local trade and causing chaos to Oxford residents, including many of the city’s most vulnerable.

We intend for our legal team to deliver a Pre-Action Protocol letter to the Council within the coming weeks, after which we have until early December to pursue judicial action, if that is how we decide to proceed. (There are other avenues that may be more fitting, depending on the arguments we choose to pursue - and there are many to choose from!) With such a short window of opportunity, we must be fully funded and ready to proceed by the time the Council issues its formal response.
